When organizations or public figures are exposed to scandals, crisis scenarios or accusations, the press is quickly sharing the news. Therefore, the crisis management is important in defining the image of the company or the organization.
Aiming to minimize the negative impacts on the media, the first thing to be done by the media relations office is drafting an explanatory note. It is a document that intends to explain the current situation, apologize for failures or respond to accusations in order to mitigate the unfavorable picture of the organization in the media.
The humblest is the conduct of an explanatory note, the greater will be the consideration of the public in response. Therefore, the simplicity of the content is important when elaborating of the note. An explanatory note can be published in any media.
